Local Heroes is an annual gala celebrating regional talents in all fields of music. We were asked to produce vignettes for the 2012 event. The result is 9 videos surrounding the theme of travelling (pointing towards the idea: all roads lead to Gävle, also being the city where the gala take place).
The vignettes were used as a part of the nominee presentations during the Gala at the Gävle Concert House in Gävle, Sweden on 04.02.2012.

A different point of view
A film by Michael Larsson and Viktor Eriksson 2011
In the spring of 2010 video artists Michael Larsson and Viktor Eriksson heard of a new dance project where folk music was going to meet a theatrical setting. The project RESiDANS had initiated a collaboration with choreographer Martin Forsberg and the three met for the first time in IDKA, Institute of Digital Arts in Gävle, and ideas began to hatch. The result was the movie “Another point of view” which is an artistic depiction of the preparation before the show was ready for the stage. Michael and Victor let the camera capture movement, facial expression and communication between the dancers. Craftsmanship with editing and creating music were added later in a studio session in which Michael and Viktor like improvisers let the polska music guide images and sounds into an audiovisual experience in real time.
A method that has never been used in a similar context.
RESiDANS is a project of theatrical folk dance and music supported by Musik Gävleborg, Musik i Uppland, DalFolk – County Music Activities at Folkmusikens House, Eric Sahlström Institute, Musik i Dalarna, Gävleborg Folk Theatre, Dance in Upland, the Music Conservatory of Falun, Dalarna, Performing Arts and Dance in Dalarna (Scenkonst Dalarna & Dans i Dalarna). The project is supported by the National Arts Council, IDKA and Bilda

2005 Picture & sound belongs together. They are like siamese twin for each other.
In the projekt Art Hypnosis the torrent of tranquil faded pictures has given sounds and on the contrary. Sometimes you don´t know if it´s a picture or a sound that you just been experience. Ant that´s the idea. It´s like the sound learning us to see and the pictures learning us to listen in a hypnotic mix. Hypnos was the god of sleeping. But here it´s more the immersed position between sleep and awake that is intended.
The thought with Viktor Erikssons Art Hypnosis is a kind of selfhypnosis that are very close to meditation with the artist as hypnotiser and the contemplater as a awakedreamer. It´s a movie filled with suggestions, colors, calm and relaxation. DVD Loop 60 min | Sound: Dolby digital surround.
